Juvenile Dependency and Termination of Parental Rights("TPR") Registry – There are four (4) separate categories for which an attorney may qualify. Each successive category requires increasing expertise by the court appointed attorney. Attorneys will be placed into all categories for which they qualify. The Juvenile Court Dependency Screening Committee classifies, reclassifies, or declassifies attorneys on each Registry, and to develop programs or policies which will provide attorney-mentors to advise less experienced attorney on each Registry. Selection, approval and appointment as an attorney on the Dependency and Termination of Parental Rights Registry is a privilege, not a right and is dependent upon qualifications, training, and evaluation performance. Compensation for service as a court appointed counsel is not intended to be a means of earning a living but an adjunct to a private practice. See application for details on qualifications for various categories. Attorneys who are interested in this Registry should contact Ms. Mary Wooley-Larrea, at the Juvenile Justice Center, 3300 Northwest 27th Avenue, Room # 1120, Miami, Florida 33142 or at (305) 638-6221.
